🏠 A couple of things to note:

  • Rent Schedules for ED1 projects have been updated to reflect the annual increase, including a 10% increase in Schedule 9 rents

July 23 | Pasadena Design Commission

  • A session will be held to discuss the objective design standards for high-density residential projects

  • 1200 E. California Blvd, DHP2024-00070 (CONTINUED FROM 6/11/2024): Construction of a new one- to four-story 64,638 square-foot Caltech laboratory and office building with two subterranean stories. Staff Report and Design Submission.

July 25 | LA City Planning Commission

  • Hollywood Central Sites 1 & 2 mixed-use developments by developer Rick Selby are under review. Total of 633 residential units encompassing 8 buildings:

    • 1639 N Cherokee Ave, CPC-2022-3935-DB-SPR-WDI-HCA: Demolition of two existing structures and surface parking lot and the construction of a new 15-story, 374,494 sf mixed-use building with 393 units, including 44 VLI units (11% of the base density) with a max. building height of 183 ft over three subterranean parking levels with 336 vehicular parking spaces. The Project will maintain 11,333 sf of existing commercial space. The Project provides 40,775 sf of open space, including courtyards on the second and third levels, community and recreation rooms, roof deck areas, and private balconies.

    • 6626 Hollywood Blvd, CPC-2022-3867-DB-MCUP-SPR-WDI-HCA: Construction, use, and maintenance of a new 13-story, 201,880-sf mixed-use building with 240 units (27 VLI units) with a max. building height of 155 ft over two subterranean parking levels with 108 vehicular spaces provided on-site. The Project will maintain 27,881 sf of existing commercial space.

  • CPC-2016-3182-CA-AMDT3: Proposed amendments to Article 13 of Chapter 1A of the Los Angeles Municipal Code to address technical corrections and clarifications and bring certain provisions into compliance with state regulations as part of regular maintenance of the Zoning Code

  • Appeal of two adjacent residential developments totaling 60 units within Subarea C (Community Commercial) of the Vermont/Western Station Neighborhood Area Plan (SNAP) Specific Plan:

    • 1115 N Berendo St, DIR-2021-1538-TOC-SPP-HCA-1A: Decision on appeal of demolition of an existing duplex and a detached garage, and the construction, use, and maintenance of a five-story, 15,479 sf, 30-unit residential building

    • 1114 N Heliotrope Dr, DIR-2021-1238-TOC-SPP-HCA-1A: Decision on appeal of demolition of an existing single-family dwelling and a detached garage, and the construction, use, and maintenance of a five-story, 15,450 sf, 30-unit residential building
